She had 4 sons with William Phillip Buckley. She died at 70 George At Fitzroy, Victoria, Australia in 1953.

    Annie was married to William Phillip Buckley and had 4 sons, William Michael Buckley, Sylvester Frank Buckley, Phillip James Buckley, and Joseph Anthony Buckley. Sadly her husband suffered severe shell shock from WWI service and had developed a mental health issue and alcohol dependence and become violent with Annie. One incident resulted in William Phillip hitting her with a kerosene lamp and setting her on fire, resulting in severe burns. He was arrested and a jury found him not guilty. He also was charged for indecent assaults on young girls not long after this.

Annie is the mum of my beloved grandpa
Annie Leddin (as her daughter in law Ivy called her in memories) was my great grandpa Bill’s mum. He helped to rescue her when the horrific kerosene attack happened upon her person. He was 11.

If anyone has any further information on Annie, who is sometimes known by Johanna Leddin
