Anthony "Tony" Racioppi Obituary
Anthony "Tony" Racioppi, 93, of Lincroft, N.J. entered into eternal rest and the gates of heaven on September 6, 2012.
Anthony was born and raised in Newark, N.J. before moving to Lincroft, N.J. He served in the Army during World War ll and worked as the packaging and shipping Department manager for Remo Industry and then later Tyco Industry. After retirement he worked as a crossing guard at the River Plaza Elementary School in Middletown, N.J.
Anthony "Tony" Racioppi was known by all as a kind, friendly, warm and generous man. He was an avid reader and great philosopher. He loved hiking, sports, going to the race track and trips to Great Adventure with his daughters. He was a devoted family man who loved his wife, his children, grandchildren and his home. He made friends where ever he went.
Anthony is survived by his wife, Cecil, of sixty years, his children; Cheryl Resola and her husband Frank, Mark Racioppi and his wife Veronica, and Susan Ferro and her partner Louis Fascini; his grandchildren, Nicole Cali, Anthony Collincini, Laura Racioppi; and his brother-in-law Ron Gorsky; and many other relatives and friends.
Anthony "Tony" Racioppi will be missed by all who have known him. We will miss his gentle smile, his philosophic views and his profound words of wisdom. God Bless you "Tony" rest in peace!
A private service will be held for family members only at Saint Catherine's Church in Farmingdale, N.J.
