She had siblings George Marvin Dismukes, Walter William Dismukes, Mary Ann Dismukes, Gaston Barbee Dismukes, Cleveland Hendricks Dismukes, James Joseph Dismukes, B.J. Dismukes, and Rutelia 'Telia' Dismukes. She married William L. Richey and they later divorced. Ardelia Pierce died at age 87 years old in June 1980 in Pomona, CA.

    My Great Aunt Delia was a wonderful lady. While my father was over in Vietnam, she let my Mom and us girls live with her for a while in her older big house. I remember her being a very nice lady. She always had a smile on her face. As children, we used to ask "Is your house haunted?" She'd laugh and say maybe. My Daddy and I got to visit her before she died, she was very frail and pretty much blind but she still smiled.
