Obituary

Ariff Jike, 73, of 277 Atlantic St., died Saturday in St. Joseph's Hospital after a long illness. Mr. Jike was born in Aleppo, Syria, and came to thhe (sic) United States in 1917 residing in Paterson the last 50 years. He was a retired weaver with the Aslam Fabric Co., Paterson and a member of the Holy Name Society of Sacred Heart Church. The funeral will be 9 a.m. Wednesday from the Gorny and Gorny Paterson-Clifton Mortuary, 519 Marshall St., corner of Hazel Street. A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 10 at Sacred Heart. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Mr. Jike is survived by his wife, the former Nadime Kaddik a daughter, Mrs. Dolores Collins of Paterson; two brothers and a sister in Syria and two grandchildren. - The News Paterson New Jersey Monday, November 5th 1973
