  • Obituary

Arnold Lowell Ger was born to Pearl Ger (Paisner) (1903-1967), and William Ger (1900-1985) on December 7, 1928. He was incredibly passionate about various kinds of Classical Music (specifically from the Baroque as well as Classical Period) as well as the amazing innocence of a small child. In spite of how uneasy his childhood was in many aspects, he was exposed to an exceptional amount of generosity and a highly developed sense of humor from his mother, so he felt so compelled to be so generous with children as well as almost everyone who befriended him. When he was 23 years old, he married the love of his life (Norah Ger (Somerville) on May 2, 1952 and the couple eventually had a son, William S. Ger on January 29, 1953. His wife, Norah has always had an infinite amount of wisdom about people as well as life. Arnold was very skilled at creating as well as maintaining positive thought, and always used perfect English, as his father (William) had a career as High School English teacher. Arnold was a lot like Robin Williams; very cheerful on the outside but incredibly depressed on the inside, during most of his life. He exposed his very first granddaughter Audrey to excellent command of the English language, politeness, an infinite amount of empathy, Classical Music, as well as a passion for life, ever since she was a newborn baby. His granddaughter Audrey always feels his spirit everytime she listens to music that was composed by Haydn as well as Beethoven (she never really enjoyed Bach though :); she firmly believes that elegance as well as any kind of passion for Classical Music would feel so unnatural to her had she not been in the presence of her grandfather so much ). Arnold was indefinitely a wonderful father figure for Audrey, even though he was only her grandfather.
