In the 1910 U.S. census, 24 yr. old Arthur Walser, an electric works merchant, b. abt. 1886 in NY was living in Richmond Ward 1, Richmond, New York with his 58 yr. old father, William C. Walser, a physician in general practice, b. in NY 56 yr. old mother, Elleanor E., b. in NY 31 yr. old brother, Havelock, an electric works merchant, b. in NY 22 yr. old brother, Guy, a lwayer in general practice, b. in NY two household servants and a chauffeur. This was William & Eleanore's first marriage. They had been marr. 33 years. Eleanore had had six children, five of whom were still alive by the time of this census. In his June 15, 1917 WWI Draft Registration card, 30 yr. old Arthur, a single man, was living in Detroit, Michigan. His birthplace was New York City. He was self-employed as an estate manager. He had attended Cornell University for two years. He was described as tall and slender with blue eyes and blonde hair. In the 1920 U.S. census, 33 yr. old Arthur C. Walser, single and working as a banker, was living in a boarding house in Brooklyn Assembly District 1, Kings, NY with one hundred other people. Both of his parents were b. in NY. In the 1930 U.S. census, 43 yr. old Arthur Walser, a divorced real estate salesman, b. abt. 1887 in NY, was living at 694 Oak Knoll Ave. in Pasadena, L.A. Co., Ca. with his 75 yr. old widowed mother, Eleanore Walser, b, in NY and her 70 yr. older lodger nurse, Eliza Johnson Arthur's parents were both b. in NY and Eleanore's parents were both b. in England.
