Captain Arthur Henry Rostron, the Carpathia
Capt. Arthur Rostron & under officers of the Carpathia. The Carpathia picked up survivors from the wreck of the Titanic in the early hours of April 15, 1912.

Because the Carpathia didn't have the supplies to carry all of the survivors to Europe (where she was headed), Capt Rostron returned to New York with the 712 Titanic survivors.
