Ashbrook (Pugh), and had children Georgann Kennedy (Ashbrook), Darlene Kennedy (Ashbrook), Robert Ashbrook, James Ashbrook, Gary Ashbrook, Gregory Ashbrook, Arthur Douglas Ashbrook, Rodger Ashbrook, Wanda Mastillo (Ashbrook), and David Ashbrook. Arthur Ashbrook died at age 72 years old on January 18, 1993.

    Arthur ASHBROOK Arthur J. Ashbrook, 72, of Hooversville, died Jan. 18, 1993, at Lee Hospital, Johnstown. Born Oct. 5, 1920, in Hooversville, son of Lester and Minnie (Lape) Ashbrook. Preceded in death by parents, two sisters and three brothers. Survived by his wife of 50 years, the former Kathryn Pugh, and these children; James, married to former Drema Breeden and Douglas, married to the former Janet Neri, both of Boswell; Robert, married to the former Valerie Kusinko of Windber; Wanda, married to John Mastillo, Jerome; Gary, married to the former Denise Sechler; Darlene, married to Michael Kennedy, and Georgann, married to Randy Kennedy all of Hooversville; Dave and his friend, Jean Phillippi, of Gray; Gregory, married to the former Anna Marie Zoldey of Wilbur, and Rodger, married to former Sherry Dryburg of Somerset; 25 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. Brother of Mark of Orlando, Fla. and Telford of Barberton, Ohio. Retired from Island Creek Coal Co. after 32 years. WWII Army veteran, having received the Good Conduct Medal, European, Africian and Middle Eastern Campaign medals, with five Bronze Stars and the WWII Victory Medal. Member of Hooversville Post 7565 VFW, and Local 998, UMWA. Family will receive friends from 7-9 pm Wednesday and 2-4 and 7-9 pm Thursday at Deaner Funeral Home, Hooversville, where service will be held at 2pm Friday, the Rev. Gerald L. Myers. Interment, Oterbein Cometery. Graveside military rites by Mcnoher[?] Post 155 VFW. Daily American Jan 20, 1993
