Introduction

When Arthur McClellan Weeden was age 31, he was living in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, where he was born. He was working for Christofer La Forge at River Farm in SaundersTown, North Kingstown. His next of kin was his wife. He was described as being 6 feet tall and weighing 160 pounds. He had gray eyes, black hair, and a "ruddy" complexion. Almost ten years later, Arthur was still married to Beatrice. They were living in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, with their children Edith A, Arthur M, and Kenneth J. Weeden. Arthur was a caretaker on an estate and he was the only one working in the family. Arthur was admitted into the service in January 1944 for the period of one month. He was discharged because he had: Epididymitis (non-tuberculous, non-gonococcal), and the Secondary diagnosis of Orchitis (non-venereal). Both conditions made him ineligible for service because he did not contract them in the line of duty.
