He had a brother Charles Edwin Willyan. He married Lucy Jane (Berry) Willyan, and had children Martha Alice Willyan, Arthur Charles Willyan, and Ernest Edwin Willyan. Arthur Willyan died at age 75 years old in 1960 in Mooroopna, Greater Shepparton City County.
