Offensend, Asa Euclare age 83, of Venice, Florida, passed away Monday, April 3, 2000 at Bon Secours Venice Hospital. He was born September 23, 1916, in Masury, Ohio and lived most of his life in Ohio.
He was an Army Veteran of W.W. II, and worked as a systems analyst for the United States Air Force until his retirement. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Dayton, Ohio. He came to the Venice area 2½ years ago from Dayton, Ohio.
Survivors include his wife, Rhoda Lee Offensend of Venice, Florida, 2 sons, David Glenn Offensend of New York City, New York and Dr. Timothy Quinlan Offensend of San Francisco, California, a sister, Ardie Jane Offensend of Columbus, Ohio, a brother, Glen Offensend of Hilton Head, South Carolina and 2 grandchildren.
Visitation was held at Farley Funeral Home, Venice, Florida. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 8, 2000 at the Westminster Presbyterian Church, Dayton, Ohio. Interment Kalida Cemetery, Kalida, Ohio. Services in care of Tobias Funeral Home, Belmont Chapel.
