Introduction

AVERY ELBERT "ACE" FERGUSON, 72, of Barboursville, husband of Opal Colegrove Ferguson and widower of Thelma Erma Jean Ferguson, died Thursday in Louisville, Ky. He was retired from BASF and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Survivors also include a son, Tommy Ferguson; a daughter, Sharon Hager; a sister, Doris Cooper; and three brothers, Floyd, Lloyd and John Ferguson. Funeral 11 a.m. Monday at Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville; burial in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. (Oct 08, 2000)
