Add Memories, Stories & Photos about Barbara

My name is Helen Ballentine Brailsford, and Barbara Ballentine was my mother. She had 4 grandchildren, Raygen Aaron, Micheal Ballentine, Haley Ballentine, and Travis Evans. I have a brother Renne. Barbara did not have a happy childhood, but manage to survive and helped to raise her siblings. After my father died, R. O. Ballentine, she was plagued by alcoholism and died because of it. She was a loving person and would give you the shirt off her back. She faught a a hard battle and ultimately lost. We all miss her, and wish we could have saved her. She was a dynamic florist who owned her own business. She was a tremendous cook. She loved horses, but hated cats. She loved to fish and throw extraordinary fish fries. She was part of many clubs oand organizations. She loved all of her extended family as if they had been born to her. Her sisters, Louise Ballentine and Lurline Fowler shared an unbreakable bond. She had 2 brothers, Reid Locklair and John Locklair. Once again, she is sadly missed and will never be forgotten.
