She was married to Michael Hoferer in 1871 in Pottawatomie County, Kansas United States, and had children Charles Francis Hoferer, Anna Mary Hoferer, August Hoferer, Caroline Marcella Hoferer, and Aloysius Gorge Hoferer. Barbara Schroepfer died at age 84 years old in 1932.
