    Barbara Sue Schmiz, nee Ohms, 68, of Cahokia, Il. born July 1, 1941 , in East St. Louis, Il., died July 17, 2009 at St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri. Mrs. Schmiz loved to attend yard sales and also loved to feed the birds & squirrels around her home. She was preceded in death by by her parents, Jesse and Mary Ohms and a son Robert Schmiz. Surviving are her husband Charles O "Joe" Schmiz, her children, Steven (Debbie) Schmiz., Paul (Chalee) Schmiz, Michael (Jennifer) Schmiz, Donald Schmiz, Ronald Schmiz, and eight grandchildren, John, Megan, Jacob, Katie, Abby, Heather, Patrick, and Adam. Visitation on Sunday July 19, 2009 fron 3:30 to 8 p.m. at Braun Colonial Funeral Home Cahokia, Il. Funeral service will be held on Monday July 20, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Braun Colonial Funeral Home Cahokia, Il., Burial at Valhalla Cemetery , Belleville, Il.
