"I remember Mama." My mother was a generous, lovely person. When she and Dad encountered people having a difficult time financially during the 30s and 40s, they provided money, food and clothing to help them. Our household was very peaceful with love abounding for all.
My mothers friends were Ms. Lucille Holiday, Mable Matthews, Ms. Drew, Ms. Vanette Pratt, Ms. Dickson, Ms. Powell along with many others. How we all miss them! They were all 1st generation ladies from the south and often came to our house to provide ladies club meetings, Christmas cheer, fun at birthdays, and to just sit, talk and laugh about how they were able to do so much better in Beaver Falls.
