He had siblings Jd Totherow, Ml Totherow, Dempsey Totherow, Bill Totherow Laney, Nancy Totherow Stiles, Blanch Totherow Millsaps, Geneva Totherow Hayth, and Helen Totherow (Farmer). He married BettyLou Lou (Roberson ) Totherow on July 3, and they were married until Talmadge's death circa September 21, 2006. Talmadge Totherow had children Sheila Jean (Totherow) Weidner, Mitchell Bruce Totherow, Marian Angela (Totherow) Reagon, Christopher Dewight Totherow, Marilyn Denise (Totherow), and Michelle Lynn (Totherow) Crawford.
