Benjamin Hollingworth was born in 1855 to George Hollingworth and Phillis Shaw, and had siblings Mary (Hollingworth) Boulton and George Hollingworth. He married Elizabeth Ann (Slack) Hollingworth, and had a child Irene (Hollingworth) Hardham. Benjamin Hollingworth died at age 81 years old on April 23, 1937 in Toorak, Stonnington City County, VIC Australia, and was buried at St Kilda Cemetery in Saint Kilda East, Port Phillip City County.

HOLLINGWORTH.- On the 23rd April ( suddenly ), at his residence, 1 Brookville road, Toorak, Benjamin Hollingworth, dearly beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Ann and devoted father of Irene, much loved grandpa of Max, Garth and Elaine Hardham, aged 83 years.
