Ben is an amazing man. He proudly served his County during WWII where he earned many medals including his Purple Heart at the Battle of the Bulge. Ben was knighted by the French government at the Embassy in New York (November, 2014) where he received the Chevalier Legion of Honor medal. He served under General Patton with the 101st Combat Engineer Battalion, 26th Yankee Division, Company A.

Ben was a devoted, loving husband to his wife, Ada (nee Kappes) during their 50 plus years of marriage until her death in 2003. He is a loving father to his three daughters and son and a loving, doting grandfather to six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

To date (June, 2015) Ben is an active 91 year old who enjoys hunting, fishing and family. He is a tinkerer and an inventor. Give him an idea and he can bring it to fruition. He is one of the smartest men I've ever known.
