Benjamin Orzechowski of Atlanta, Fulton County, Georgia United States was born on September 8, 1947 to Charles Orzechowski and Betty (Benn) Orzechowski. He was in a relationship with Edita Hartig, and had a child Benjamin Orr Jr.. Benjamin Orzechowski died at age 53 years old on October 4, 2000 in Atlanta, and was buried at Saint Patricks Cemetery in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, OH.
Although Benjamin was very educated and well rounded in the arts and entertainment industry he had only completed the10th grade and attened Valley Forge High School.He did go on and very successfully to become a regular performer on a local Cleveland television show called "Upbeat" along with a few friends and fellow musicians.He was a highly skilled musician and perfomer for many years to come.He also worked with such musicians as Joni Mitchell and her husband Larry Klein on not only one but two of her albums.Larry Klein also worked with Benjamin on his very first and only solo album titled "The Lace." later continued to work with numerous other well know musicians throughout his lengthy career.

He worked with his longtime friend in their own Mucical acts booking agency and later on as a musical genius who worked with other performers as a Producer,Performer,Pianist,Keyboardist,Drummer,Rhythm Guitarist,Singer and most famous for being a Dual Lead singer and Bassist for the Band "The Cars" He also sang and performed with Bands The Grasshoppers,Mixed Emotions,ID Nirvana,Milkwood,Cap n' Swing,The Cars,The Benjamin Orr Band,Voices Of Classic Rock and his final performance was with the Band Big People right up until September of 2000 and shortly after he sadly passed away on Wednesday October 4 2000 of Pancreatic Cancer.
