Benjamin Oswald was born on December 3, 1774 in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania United States to John Philip Oswald and Margaret (Spielman) Oswald, and had a sister Catherine (Oswald) Eltzroth. He married Sara (Geiser) Oswald, and had children John Oswald, Elizabeth (Oswald) Lane, David Oswald, Mary Oswald, Catherine Oswald, Benjamin Franklin Oswald, Lydia (Oswald) Leister, Susannah Oswald, and Margaret Mary Oswald. Benjamin Oswald died at age 66 years old on February 14, 1841 at Smithburg, Washington Maryland, United States.
