Benton Jones died at age 63 years old on December 27, 1967.

Benton T. Jones Funeral services for Benton T. Jones, 63, of Rensselaer, Ind., formerly of Arcola, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Shrader funeral home, Arcola. Rev. Robert Kaeiser will officiate and burial will be in Arcola Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home between 7 and 9 p.m. Saturday. Mr. Jones died at the Jasper County Hospital in Rensselaer at 7 p.m. Wednesday following an illness of six months. He was born Feb. 19, 1904, near Arcola, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Jones. He married Vera Barnes who died in 1948. In 1951 he married Mabel Edgar of Arcola, who survives. Other survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Darla Dillon of Wolcott, Ind.; four grandchildren; two brothers, Maldon Jones of Covington, Ind., and Claud Jones of Crawfordsville, Ind.; and a sister, Mrs. Margarete Sollers of Danville. Three brothers preceded him in death. Mr. Jones was an Arcola High School graduate and a member of the Presbyterian Church.
