Bernard was sadly the only family member that was sadly killed at Auschwitz Death Camp on February 11, 1944 at age 6. On October 25, 1943 the betrayal raids realized his Jewish origin while he was in hiding after he was given a couple questions about his name and his mother's name. Even some children who were in hiding weren't that lucky
