    Bernard G. Craig, 79, of Susquehanna Blvd., West Hazleton, died at his residence Saturday evening. Born in Wilkes-Barre, he had resided in Larksville prior to locating to West Hazleton for the past 35 years. He was a son of the late George and Wanda (Janiszewski) Crake. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Navy in the Pacific Theater of operations. He served aboard the USS Naville and was awarded the Pacific Theatre Ribbon, American Theatre Ribbon and the Victory Medal. He was discharged as a Yeoman, 3rd Class. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church, West Hazleton, and served as vice president of the Men of St. Francis Society. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed at the LBL Appliance Center, Weis Markets, and was a former manager of the Holiday Inn. Surviving are his wife, the former Dolores E. Yuscavage, to whom he had been married for 53 years; daughter Sharon and husband Gene Kachurak, Palm Harbor, FL; grandson Chris and granddaughter Amanda Kachurak, also of Palm Harbor, FL; sister, Marie Kelly, Wilkes-Barre; brother, George Craig, Dunellen, NJ; several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the John J. Pusti Funeral Home, 480 W. Broad St., Hazleton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi R.C. Church, West Hazleton at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in St. Mary’s R.C. Cemetery, Plymouth. Friends may call Tuesday evening, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A prayer service will be conducted.
