    Agnes Skrifvars - Pueblo Chieftain - May 07, 2006 - Agnes Skrifvars, 94, born in Enid, Okla., on June 17, 1911, passed away May 4, 2006. Survived by grandson, Steven Spears; several nieces and nephews; and good friends, Clarence and Barbara Brown. Agnes graduated from Central High School in 1929, and married her husband, Harold, in 1933. They moved to Canon City in 1969. Preceded in death by her husband, Harold; son, Walter; two sisters and two brothers-in-law. Agnes was a volunteer on the Board of AARP, Meals on Wheels, and the Tourist Information Cabin. She also served on the Democratic Committee. She was a member of TOPS in Canon City, and also a prior member of Northern Avenue Methodist Church in Pueblo. Agnes retired from Lerner's Department Store in Pueblo. Visitation, 3 to 6 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home. Graveside service, 3 p.m. Tuesday, Imperial Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sangre de Cristo Hospice or the Hildebrand Care Center through the funeral home.
