He had a brother William C Hargett. Booker Hargett died at age 76 years old on July 11, 1989, and was buried at New Bern National Cemetery Section 20 Site 159 1711 National Avenue, in New Bern.

Booker T Hargett was my uncle. He worked at West Point as a dietitian for many years. He has a host of nieces and nephews that loved and remember him.
