    The following appeared in The Springfield News-Leader in Springfield Missouri on Wednesday April 9th 1980: Boone Jenkins MONETT - Services for Boone Jenkins, 68, Route 2, Monett, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Buchanan Chapel with the Rev. S. Allen Watson officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery near Joplin. Mr. Jenkins died at 12:38 a.m. Tuesday in St. Vincent's Hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack while working as a professional engineer and surveyor in the Aurora area. He had been associated with Gillioz Construction Company here for many years, and was employed with Oklahoma Cement Company. A native of Joplin, Mr. Jenkins lived in Monett since 1953. He was a World War II veteran. Survivors include his wife, Beryl. Memorial donations may be made to St. Stephen's Episcopal Church.
