He married Irena Danuta Goldsmith in 1977 in Brooklyn, Kings County, and they were married until Brian's death on April 9, 2005 in East Meadow, Nassau County. He had children Adam Brian Goldsmith and Ava Lavender Goldsmith. Brian Goldsmith was buried on April 13, 2005 in East Meadow.
