Detectives in Osceola County are investigating after a father allegedly shot and killed one of his sons, while shooting and injuring the other Saturday night.
Lindsay Thomas Peeples Sr., 78, has been charged with one count of murder and one count of attempted murder.
The Osceola County Sheriff's Office received a call in reference to a shooting at 6800 Crabgrass Road in St. Cloud just before 7:30 p.m.
When deputies arrived, they spoke with Peeples who said he had been in a verbal dispute with his two sons, 55-year-old Lindsay Thomas Peeples Jr. and 47-year-old John Brooks Peeples.
The argument escalated which led to the shooting, according to reports.
John Brooks Peeples was found dead at the scene, deputies said, and Lindsay Peeples Jr. was airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center with injuries.
Peeples Sr. was taken into custody and booked into the Osceola County Jail with no bond.
