Bryan, Sergeant Comaduran, was a subordinate of mine in the Army. We were stationed on a small combat-outpost together in Afghanistan together in 2011. He was a great Soldier and great friend. Strong, smart, brave, good-natured... The type of person you instantly become friends with.
I'll never forget sneaking into the chow hall late at night to make a grilled cheese because we were so hungry, and the food they served was so awful! Or sitting in the bunker and telling stories while we were being mortared by the Taliban!
