    My daddy was a farmer. He raised peanuts, cotton, cane, tobacco, corn and okra. We use to set by our fireplace and daddy would peel a stalk of cane and cut a piece into four pieces and I would chew the cane. He made a lot of syrup. Daddy loved his children and grand children.
