She was married to Robert Desimone on June 24, 1931 in Albion, Orleans County United States, and they were together until Robert's death in February 1974 in Queens County United States. She had children Francis C Desimone and Roland Desimone. Camilla Desimone died at age 99 years old on March 9, 2009.

In 1909, in the year that Camilla Desimone was born, the U.S. penny was changed to the Abraham Lincoln design. The Lincoln penny was so popular that it soon had to be rationed and it sold on the secondary market for a quarter. Abraham Lincoln was the first historical figure to be on a U.S. coin - which was released to commemorate his 100th birthday. This penny was also the first U.S. cent to include the words "In God We Trust.".

It had previously taken 12 hours to assemble a whole vehicle - now it took only two hours and 30 minutes!
