Carol was born in the Bronx, NY where she spent the bulk of her childhood with her brother Joe Jr. and her extended family. Sometime in her early teens they moved to Suffern NY where she stayed until she married John Bourdeau. After getting married they moved to Mahwah, NJ (which is just on the other side of the NJ border from Suffern) where she and John had a daughter named Dawn. Sometime in the late 1980's Carol and John divorced, and shortly after that she moved to Wilson North Carolina, as did her brother Joe Jr., her dad Joe Sr. and her Aunt Frances Gione. This is where she spent the rest of her life.

Carol died on July 10th, 2005. There is no copy of her obituary to my knowledge. Here is how I would like Carol remembered. She was lovingly devoted to family. A jovial person with a great sense of humor who was almost always fun to be around.
