Veronica Caroline (Vera) LAKEMAN was my Grandmother. Vera gave birth to a son Ian Grant on the 5th,.March 1927 at the age of 19 and there is no father listed on his birth certificate, so I am still wondering if his surname was meant to be Grant which is what he used as his surname, however Mormon genealogy claim he should have used the surname Lakeman. He married my mother who became Edith Grant (nee Smith) Vera Lakeman married Henry (Harry) IRVINE approx. 1931 and had two children Robin and Delphine IRVINE. They did not know their mother had a boy child in Richmond, Victoria in 1927. My name is Inez Ferguson (nee) GRANT. For many years I have tried to track down my history without much success, my grandmother has taken all the information I need to the grave, should have asked many years ago when she was still alive. GRANT may still be a clue so if anyone can help please do.
