Carroll W Mardis was born in 1840 in Blount County, Alabama United States to Samuel Mardis and Delila (Westbrooks) Mardis, and had siblings James Leonard Mardis and Jesse J Mardis. He married Ann Margaret (Roberson) Mardis on February 3, 1859, and they were married until Carroll's death in 1875. Carroll Mardis had children Mary Mardis, William Mardis, Lewis Mardis, Ellen Genetta Robinson-Simpson, Asa Mardis, and Emma Mardis.
