Casimir Chelstowski, 46, widely know local musician, collapsed and fell dead yesterday at Arlington National Cemetery, where he was attending memorial services at the Tomb of the Unknowns. He resided at 252 S 12th. Street.
Chelstowski, known in the musical world as Charles Chelsey, had gone to the national cemetery with his wife and three children to attend the service. Without warning he collapsed and was pronounced dead by a physician who was summoned.
The certificate of death was due to a heart condition.
A master of the clarinet and saxophone, was better known with the Cadet Band and Jack Heath Orchestra.
He was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church.
A native of Reading, he was the son of John and the late Mary (Nowotarski) Chelstowski, was a member of the Polish Falcons Alliance, Knights of St. Casimir Society and the Reading Musicians Union and was employed by Dick Brothers.
Surviving besides his Father are his widow, Doroty (Skoraszewski) Chelstowski; Richard, Dorane and Donna Chelstowski at home; also Paul Chelstowski, teacher of music and organist at St. Mary's Church, Chester and Frank Chelstowski, Florence, wife of James Weitzel; Elizabeth, wife of Harold Gensemer, all of Reading, and Jeanette, wife of William Cadaret of Reseda, California.
Solemn High Requiem Mass will be offered at 9 AM in St. Mary's; Church, Burial will be made in St. Mary's Cemetery
