She married Charles Chitts, and had a child Iris Kathleen (Chitts) Campbell. Catherine Chitts died at age 61 years old on September 28, 1929 in Newport, and was buried on September 30, 1929 at Williamstown Cemetery Champion Road, in Williamstown.
