Catherine (McLean) Campbell was born in 1864 to Jane (Morey) McLean and James McDonald McLean, and had siblings William McLean, Agnes Vicoria (McLean) Richardson, Janet (McLean) Quayle, Norman John McLean, Allan McLean, and Henry Travers McLean. Catherine Campbell married Herbert Thomas Campbell, and died at age 74 years old on February 6, 1939 in Auckland New Zealand.

CAMPBELL. - On the 6th of February, at Auckland ( N.Z. ), Catherine, loved wife of Herbert, daughter of the late James and Jane McLean, Hawksburn, sister of William McLean ( South Yarra ), Janet ( Mrs. R. Quayle, Toorak ), and the late Norman, Harry and Agnes.

It mandated that "In God We Trust" was to be placed on all United States coins and created a 2 cent coin. Later - in 1956 - "In God We Trust" replaced "E Pluribus Unum" - which means out of many, one - as the national motto.

In 1881, when she was 17 years old, on October 26th, the "Gunfight at the O.K. Corral" happened in Tombstone, Arizona. The gunfight lasted only 30 seconds - the Earps and Doc Holliday on one side and the "Cowboys" on the other side. The McLaury brothers and Billy Clanton of the Cowboys were killed. Two of the Earp brothers and Doc Holliday were wounded.
