Catherine (McCarthy) Spencer of Fitzroy, City of Yarra County, VIC Australia was born in 1858 in Mount Duneed to James McCarthy and Sarah (Smead) McCarthy. She had siblings Emma Mccarthy, James McCarthy, and Sarah (McCarthy) Annear. She married Christopher William Spencer in 1878, and had children Sarah Emma Spencer, Henry Edward Spencer, Christopher James Spencer, Edith Alice (Spencer) Truran, and Harold Frederick Spencer. Catherine Spencer died at age 83 years old on December 22, 1942 in Fitzroy.
