She had siblings Mary Thursa Hedditch, May Annie Hedditch, William Forward Hedditch, and John Read Hedditch. She married John Henry Broughton in 1893, and had a child Charlton William Broughton. Catherine Broughton died at age 82 years old in 1936 in Essendon, City of Moonee Valley County.
