Charlene B. (Leggett) Peake POSTED: 01/18/02, 12:01 AM EST | UPDATED: ON 01/18/2002 0 Charlene B. (Leggett) Peake Memorial services for Charlene B. (Leggett) Peake, 66, of Freeport, Ill., will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at Word of Faith Christian Fellowship, 351 South Street, Chardon. Mrs. Peake died Jan. 9, 2002, at Stevenson Nursing Center in Freeport, Ill. Born Sept. 23, 1935, in Montville, she lived in Tucson, Ariz. before moving to Freeport, Ill. She enjoyed watching ice skating, traveling and spending time with her eight grandchildren. Charlene collected tea sets. She graduated from Jane Adams School of Practical Nursing in Cleveland and established a nursing home for the elderly called Peake Living in Tucson, Ariz. Charlene always cared for those who needed her. Survivors are her parents, Charles and Gladys (Cramblett) Leggett; sons, Michael (Heidi), David and Wesley Peake of Freeport, Ill.; sisters, Joanne Arp of East Claridon, Dayle VanderKaay of Middlefield and Faith Bond Simpson of Burton; and eight grandchildren. The Rev. Tom Boytarte and Rev. Virgil Arp will officiate at services. Burial will be in Montville Cemetery.
