  • Introduction

    it was love at first sight when I met Charlene at Western State College. Aside from the fact that she was drop dead gorgeous she had a most enchanting name.....so I asked her out for a date......a college party at our "Green House" in Gunnison. The party must have been great because sometime during the evening Chalene and I awoke in the bathtub! Nothing romantic beside that happened but, like Gatsby, I was so close to a long friendship......of course we lost touch and being a newspaper editor I sought her out.....only to find that she had passed.......I imagine she had a wonderful life and that her grace and beauty graced others lives as well. Quite a strong memory after 50+ years.
