He had siblings Elizabeth Jane Ah Foon, Henry Ah Foon, Emma Dinah Foon, and Clara Anna Ah Foon. He married Jane Margaret Cassidy on August 30, 1892 in Norwood, The City of Norwood Payneham and St Peters County, South Australia, and they were married until Jane's death on June 26, 1941. Charles Foon died at age 43 years old on February 27, 1908 in Aspendale, VIC.

In 1864, in the year that Charles Albert Foon was born, on June 15th, Arlington National Cemetery was created in Arlington Virginia. 200 acres from the grounds of Robert E. Lee's home were set aside to be a military cemetery. The home and grounds had been in Lee's wife's family - she was a great-granddaughter of Martha Washington.
