Charles came to Australia at the age of 20, Leaving his native country, Geramany behind, he sailed on the passenger ship Salier from Antwerp which put anchor in Melbourne Australia. Living in Timor, he met his wife Annie Gribble and they wed 6 December 1980. Together they had 10 children, the eldest, Lily M was my great grandmother.
by 1897 records have Charles and his family living in WA and he was working at Princess Margaret Gold Mine Bulong Kalgoorlie where he was a Miner.PAY SHEETS FROM 8th AUGUST 1896 to 14th MAY 1898 Miners were paid 13/4 (13 shillings & 4pence) per shift
16 of May 1904 Charles became an Australian citizen ( I have put his naturalization certificate in the pictures)
