Charles was born to parents Louis Butera and Pearl Medico Butera. He had sibling Joseph and two sisters, all three survived him. Charles married Diane I DeGiacomo on May 10 1974 in Pittston Pennsylvania. Diane survived him. When he died, he was the sales manager for Medico Industries as well as a member of the Pittston Elks Club and Fox Hill Country Club. The Times-Tribune (Scranton Pennsylvania) 03 Aug 1977, Wed Charles J. Butera Charles J. Butera, 32, of 208 Franklin St, West Pittston, died Tuesday at Sloan Kettering Hospital, New York. His widow is the former Diane DeGiacomo. Born in Pittston June 14, 1945, he was the son of Mrs, Pearl Medico Butera, West Pittston, and the late Louis Butera. He was graduated from West Pittston High School, Class of 1963, and attended the University of Scranton. He was sales manager for Medico Industries and was a member of the Pittston Elks Club Lodge 382 and Fox Hill Country Club. Also surviving are a brother, Joseph Butera, West Pittston; two sisters, Mr. William Musto and Mrs. George Menn, both of West Pittston. The funeral will be Friday from Carl F. Adonizio Funeral Home, 251 William St, Pittston, with Mass at 9:30 am in Immaculate Conception Church, West Pittston. Interment, Denison Cemetery.
