Introduction

U.S. Congressman. He attended George Washington University, Georgetown University School of Law, Washington, D.C. and was secretary to his father, US Congressman Charles F. Curry, (1913-17). During World War I, he served overseas as a Second Lieutenant in the Aviation Section, Signal Enlisted Reserve Corps, US Army. After the war, he was admitted to the bar in 1921 and was clerk to the Committee on the Territories, House of Representatives, (1919-30). In 1931, he was elected as a Republican as a write-in candidate to the Seventy-second Congress, serving until 1933. An unsuccessful candidate for reelection, he returned to California, engaged in the practice of law, mining and other business enterprises
