I know that either his mother or grandmother was full-blooded Cherokee Indian. She died as Zora B. Monroe, born March 11, 1897, died February 20, 1975, but that's all I know. I am trying to trace the lineage, if anyone can be of assistance. 682-226-6144 This was my maternal grandfather. Supposedly, Zora's mother and father both died in the influenza plague. She was a girl when that happened, and was adopted by a white family. I don't know if that family was Monroe or if she married a Monroe after my grandfather. I would like to find the name of her natural mother and father if anyone can help.
