He had siblings William Henry Barrie, Alfred Edward Barrie, Charles Edwin Barrie, James Edwin Barrie, Robert Barrie, Arthur Roger Barrie, Leslie Whitfield Barrie, Lee Westley Barrie, Francis Barrie, Samuel John Barrie, Ralph Augustus Barrie, and Albert Walter Victor Barrie. He married Jessie May Lang Barrie, and had children Cecil William Barrie and William Horace Barrie. Charles Barrie died at age 60 years old on July 3, 1931 in Melbourne.
