Charles was born at Harare Hospital, was raised at Njanja, Chikomba, Mashonaland East, Zimbabwe under the care of Juliet Mujajati Muchemwa Kanengoni. Charles was born to Moses Mpofu Bestwishes Kanengoni and Maria Victoria Fatima Fazubo. He was grandchild to John Muchemwa Kanengoni and Maria Mangai Kanengoni on the paternal side and Jonathan Ngulube Fazubo and Amarata Ngulube Fazubo on the maternal side. Charles went to Sadza Primary School, Kwenda Mission School, ZDECO College, Face to Face Academy and Midlands State University. A holder of SAAA Higher Diploma in Accountancy. Worked for Chibuku Breweries, CAPS (Pvt) Ltd, McDonald Scientific, Zimbabwe Red Cross Society, Zimbabwe Bearings, ZimInd Publishers (Alpha Media), River Ranch Mine. Founded Wison Enterprises (Pvt) Ltd. Founded River Ranch Mine Christian Fellowship. Coached and ran StandardInd FC also coached Cranborne Community Church Football Club.

Moses Mpofu Bestwishes Kanengoni was born in a family of 4, 3 girls ( Angeline, Neliet and Rutendo) and 1 boy. He went to Sadza Primary School, Kwenda Mission, Moleli and Fletcher Secondary schools. He worked for City of Salisbury and city of Umtali. He also worked for CAPS Holdings for 25 years. Moses was born in Njanja, Chikomba District of Mashonaland East. He was a Cost Accountant by profession. He was once married to Victoria, Maria Fatima Fazubo with whom he had two children - Charles and Angeline. He then married Juliet Mujajati and they had five children - Mary, Moreblessings, Marble, John Bruce and Rejoice. He also had two other children (twins - Lorraine and Lorretta) with Jessica Ndanga. He left a house in GlenNorah A. His friend was George Shaya.
