    Charles Nesfield was born on February 4th, 1878 in Wold Newton, Yorkshire, England to William Major Nesfield (1839 - 1895) and Hannah Medd (1838 - 1905). He had six siblings: William Jr., Alfred, Francis, Jane, George, and Keturah. Charles was married three times: his first marriage was to Genevieve Lucy Abbie Chaplin (1879 - 1919) on June 13th, 1900 in Jessup, Iowa and they had daughters Lefa Rosell (1900 - 1970) and Dorothy Alice (1917 - 2006). His second marriage was to Addie Baldwin Miller (1882 - 1949) on October 12th, 1931 in Independence, Iowa. His third marriage was to Minnie Cecilia Anderson (1887 - 1983). They married in 1950. Charles was survived by Minnie, his third wife, two daughters, four stepdaughters, two stepsons, twenty-eight grandchildren, and forty-one great-grandchildren.
